At high power, lobular ducts of an inactive
mammary gland can be seen lined by simple
cuboidal epithelium.
Comment
Note that an inactive lobule consists primarily of
small ducts surrounded by loose connective
tissue. The adipose tissue and dense irregular
connective tissue of the breast surrounds and
partitions the ducts into smaller lobules.
