Findings

In this survey image of the uterine wall, the endometrium and underlying myometrium are evident. Note the clear abundance of uterine glands and the paucity of connective tissue in the endometrium.

Comment

In contrast to proliferative endometrium where the distinction between functional and basal layers is clearly visible, this distinction is not apparent in secretory endometrium.
