Findings

At higher magnification, the germinal epithelium on top of the tunica albuginea is evident. Subjacent, numerous follicles can be seen. Note also the fibrous connective tissue of the medulla.

Comment

In several follicles, the oocyte with a nucleus and nucleolus are visible.
