Note the diffuse, fine erythematous rash which appears more pronounced in the sun tanned areas of the face, neck and arms.

Drug-induced rash (history of ampicillin administration)

Clinical Pathologic Correlation
Drug eruptions are probably the most common cause for inpatient dermatology consultation; they may resemble any of the other skin diseases. For this reason, clinical history is the key for making the diagnosis.
