Necrotizing Fasciitis: African-American patient with diabetes that predisposed him to rapidly progressive infection. Lower extremity is swollen and red, though color less apparent secondary to patient's natural dark pigmentation. As the infection occurs deep to the skin, the superficial findings may be discordant with the extreme degree of illness and pain that these patients manifest.
